PVP Labs to Present Four Posters on Investigational Taphalgin® (Lumekefamide) at the IASP 2026 World Congress on Pain

Preclinical and clinical research spans postoperative and cancer-related pain

SINGAPORE, October 21, 2026 — PVP Labs announced that four scientific abstracts on Taphalgin® (lumekefamide), the company’s lead investigational candidate, have been accepted for poster presentation at the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) 2026 World Congress on Pain, held October 26–30 in Bangkok, Thailand. The congress brings together pain researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals from around the world.

Research Presented at IASP 2026

In the United States, Taphalgin® is investigational and at the pre-IND stage; it is not FDA- or EMA-approved. The four posters span its research program from preclinical pharmacology to Phase I–III clinical studies:

  • Preclinical dose–response and duration of analgesia
  • Phase I and II clinical evaluation in cancer-related pain
  • Phase III clinical findings in early postoperative pain
  • Phase III clinical findings in chronic cancer-related pain

Together, they report analgesic response, pharmacokinetic and adverse-event data from the company’s research program. Conference abstracts and posters have not undergone journal peer review.

The company describes lumekefamide, an investigational candidate, as acting through selective μ1-opioid receptor agonism combined with calcium-channel modulation.

Who Will Be in Bangkok

Chief Medical Officer Joe Stauffer, D.O., MBA, FAPCR, is the presenting author and Chief Scientific Officer Vyacheslav Kosorukov, Ph.D., the senior author on all four abstracts. Both will attend the congress together with Chief Executive Officer Eugene Zabolotsky, MBA.

“Presenting four scientific posters at the IASP World Congress gives us an important opportunity to share investigational Taphalgin’s preclinical and clinical evidence with the global pain community,” said Eugene Zabolotsky, CEO of PVP Labs. “We look forward to scientific discussions with leading researchers and clinicians, learning from their perspectives, building collaborations, and engaging with strategic partners and investors interested in supporting the program’s next stage of development.”
